Access to Excellence launched publicly on October 5, 2007 (watch the video). Begun on July 1, 2002 in a silent phase, the campaign aims to raise $350 million for five key priorities: maintaining affordability and expanding access for students; attracting and retaining the most talented scholars; creating outstanding campus environments for teaching and learning; expanding the research enterprise; and continuing Temple’s powerful role in the community and throughout the region. Temple is moving forward on each of these fronts. The campaign is designed to secure funding for initiatives and also to build a stronger culture of philanthropy across the university community that will sustain Temple in the future.
Campaign Priorities
Temple provides qualified students of every background and means with access to an education of remarkable quality. With a goal of $350 million, Access to Excellence: The 125th Anniversary Campaign for Temple is the most ambitious campaign in the University's history. Through the support of alumni and friends, Temple can ensure and expand the opportunity it provides while advancing to a new level of excellence.

At Temple University's College of Education, we work to improve the lives of students and their families through education. We prepare school professional, both teachers and leaders, with the skills and knowledge they need to succedd, and we conduct innovative research in support of this mission. Our faculty study how children learn and grow, how to enable diverse groups of students to achieve academic success, how the psychology of individuals and families impacts student performace, and how the sociology of urban environments influences schools. The College looks to the future committed to expanding its positive impact on our schools, enhancing educational practice with effective new evidence-based solutions.

At the College of Education, we take pride in the educational experience our students enjoy, the research our faculty conducts, and the positive contribution we make to our schools and our community. We see the potential to achieve an even greater impact and to grow in excellence, and we seek strategic investment on the part of our alumni and friends that will enable us to do so. Help us support our students, faculty & facilities.
